Lettmann Kayaks

Lettmann is a highly respected business run by a family who have a history of racing success in their own boats. The company is enormously proud to state that they make very high quality kayaks. In his youth the founder, Klaus Lettmann, was white water racing champion of the world. Klaus is now "semi retired" and has passed on the reigns to his son, Jochen, and daughter Martina. Jochen Lettmann has been canoe slalom champion of Germany on more than one occasion and a bronze medallist at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. The Lettmann boat designs reflect their racing pedigree - their expertise in hull design and innovation is legendary. It is a special feeling to launch into the water in a Lettmann boat, knowing that it will be stable and seaworthy/riverworthy but will also give you sensational performance with every paddle stroke.

We have a fleet of demo Lettmann sea kayaks at Nookie HQ in Gunnislake, Cornwall. Paddlers are very welcome to contact us and borrow the boats to test them out in the ocean or at our waterside test location five minutes from the factory.

Further Lettmann kayak test centres will be formed in Scotland and the South of England.
