Three years ago, inspired by my dad and supported by him and Marlett Kayaking Club in Brighton
Most memorable moment in your sport?
First time out in big surf with Marlett's at Widemouth. Ended up surfing backwards on a HUGE wave :)

Surf Skirt
What are your favourite features /reason it’s your favourite piece of kit?
Very flexible, easy to get on and off, doesn't leak. I use it for all my competitions as it is very reliable. It has never popped on me!
What are your plans over the next 12 months?
Compete in all national ranking competitions i can get to. Compete in the European Open in Mundaka, the World Cup Finals in Peniche in October and continue my degree at Truro College
What are your ambitions?
To become the Female Surf Kayaking World Champion and to complete my degree well in 2009
Where's your favourite place in the world?
The beach, aslong as there's surf, i'm happy!
What makes you good at your sport?
I have enthusiasm and a passion for what i do. That and my determination to reach the highest ranking position in the sport is what drives me.
Advice for others?
Surf kayaking is a great sport to get into, it is fun, and is something you and your friends can do together. Being out on the water is one of the most relaxing but exciting things i've ever done. I have a big passion for what i do and would recommend it to anyone who is thinking of giving it a go!
