It’s Knot A Bad Idea – Nookie Throwlines Knot

We take your safety seriously. We know when you’re on a mission you need to trust the gear you rely on. That is why we make all our throwlines in our factory in Cornwall, U.K. Each bag is carefully made and reinforced with extra stitching and bar tacks in critical place to double up its toughness. We use the highest specification materials including a durable 500D Nylon with an anti-fray coating. Nookie 20m River Flood Water Rescue Throwline Bags

Our rope is made by a trusted European manufacturer with decades (actually hundreds of years) of experience making ropes for marine, commercial and trade purposes. We trust them because they have a trusted ethos towards quality and safety. They use the highest quality materials and manufacture ropes in compliance with current international standards. Our lines use a specifically chosen floating rope with strength ranging from 9kN to 13kN depending on model.

We also believe it is important to be in charge of your own destiny. We supply a detailed information card with every Throwline to give you guidance about the care and maintenance of your throwline to make sure it lasts in good condition and keeps you safe.

This card also gives you all you need to know about how to tie a strong and secure figure 8 Knot inside the base of your bag. We make sure there’s extra rope in each bag to accomodate this more bulky knot.  The figure eight follow through is one of the strongest knots. It forms a secure, non-slip loop at the end of a rope. The reason is that it is strong, secure and easy to visually inspect.
